Bio

Hasan Johnson is a former Sony/Epic recording artist who hails from the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, N.Y. Hasan has achieved much success as a songwriter, artist & producer. He got his start in the music industry at the age of 15 under the guidance of super producer Cory Rooney. Cory soon recruited Hasan to be a part of his Soul Convention and C.R.E production team (which spawned hits for superstars such as Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Jessica Simpson and Destiny's Child to name a few.)
 
Hasan was groomed by some of the best in the business, such as Sean "Diddy" Combs, Cory Rooney, Andre Harrell, Evan Lamberg and Prince Markie Dee (Hasan actually wrote Markie Dee's #1 Rap single "Typical Reasons/Swing My Way")

By the age of 18, having worked with such legends and industry notables Hasan had become one of the most sought after ghost writers in the game. This ultimately landed him a publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing (which he is still currently signed to.)

At 19 Hasan wrote & produced his own solo album on Epic Records entitled "Love Chyld." His vocal tone was compared to the late great Tupac Shakur but he had a significantly different style. Hasan went on to perform on stages all across America making stops at "Soul Train," "Showtime at the Apollo," "B.E.T's Teen Summit" and The Wayans' "In Living Color" TV series. In 1996 Hasan also had one of the most requested videos on the Jukebox Network. As of today Hasan has truly been taking music to a new level, writing, producing and appearing on various musical projects for major corporations.

Soon Hasan ventured out on his own starting a multi media company called L.C Experience Inc. The L.C Experience (L.C.X for short)  covers many areas of the entertainment industry. A record label, production company, internet radio show, digital marketing agency are only a few areas Hasan is currently touching.

Hasan has really created his own lane focusing on brand diversification through the use of merging different genres and products generally not associated with one another. Hasan has also worked with several NBA players in creating collaborations to what has become the annual NBA All Star Weekend soundtracks (http://allstar.thelcx.com/). Hasan also teamed up with two time NBA champion and TNT host Kenny “The Jet” Smith to bring about “The Vegas All Star Weekend Soundtrack” which featured Hasan with artist such as J.Lo, Chris Brown, Janet Jackson, Ne-Yo and many others.

Always being an innovator Hasan has also done something never done before, he teamed up with Academy Award winner Danny Aiello (“Do the Right Thing” & “The God Father”) to fuse Standards with Rap. The project entitled "Bridges" has gotten a great response. The feedback has been enormous, especially with it’s first release “Besame Mucho." The song and video has received overwhelming critical acclaim, garnering over 1 Million views on youtube and countless write ups in various media outlets.

For four years Hasan also had a very successful internet talk show entitled "LCX Radio." Garnering over 70,000 listeners the talk show gained much attention with loyal fans all over the world. Due to scheduling conflicts Hasan had to take a break from the popular show. Hopefully he'll be back in the hosting chair early 2015.

From 2008 to 2014, Hasan has been responsible for over 2.5 million digital downloads and CD's distributed worldwide. Having supplied music to so many films & brands (Adidas, Team Jordan, Smooth Magazine, Show Magazine, Wanted (staring Angelina Jolie), Underworld: Awakening (staring Kate Bekinsale) & many more) just shows Hasan's brand is expanding at a rapid speed. He is still vigorously working with a lot of new corporate brands as well as many other artists.

After working heavily with Smooth magazine, Hasan decided to create his own digital magazine showcasing the most beautiful & talented women on the world wide web. "Ha Candy Digital" (http://www.hacandy.com/) has been hailed as "Well put together," "Classy" & "Eye catching." Garnering over 290,000 views a month, Ha Candy Digital is definitely New York's #1 online magazine.

In June 2014 Hasan has launched "Sole Convention," an online sneaker store and digital magazine. With the "sneaker head" community rising rapidly, Hasan thought it would be a great idea to have a place where one can read about all the latest sneaker releases and actually purchase them as well. Today Sole Convention is doing better than Hasan ever expected.
